To truly ensure that “No student should be held back by their mental health” it takes all of us, together.

3.14, Pi Day! And a great day to promote #UniMentalHealthDay. 🧠
The lesser known University Mental Health Day is jointly run by Student Minds and the University Mental Health Advisers Network. There is specific information for Students and Staff online from the #UniMentalHealthDay website.
Although our love for Pi is great, our desire to build a supportive and inclusive community is even greater.
Our department is dedicated to creating a safe space for those struggling with their mental health (alongside other troubles) and fostering the well-being of our department members. In order to provide support for those struggling with their mental health, we have our Mental Health First Aiders (MHFAs):
As the Deputy Director of Graduate Studies, Professor Garrett Morris has also offered his support for those to wish to have a chat.
All of this is part of our work on generating a supportive and open culture as well as in line with the Mindful Employer’s Charter, which has been signed by the University of Oxford as an employer who are positive about mental health.
