The Athena Swan Charter is a framework that is used across the globe to support and transform gender equality within higher education (HE) and research.
Since 2011 the Department of Statistics has held an Athena Swan Bronze Award for our work in addressing the issue of gender equality in Statistics and its working environment. This year, the Department has been awarded Silver, reflecting the collective efforts made over the intervening years to work towards greater gender and intersectional equality.
