On Wednesday 14th February the Department of Statistics held a cake and coffee morning with the Head of MPLS, Professor Jim Naismith. Jim has been visiting each department in MPLS for informal coffee chats with students and staff. Of the event, Jim said that he enjoyed the company and the cake.

As it was Valentine's Day, appropriately themed cakes were provided by members of the department and there was not a crumb left by the end! The department is planning to feature more baked goods at future coffee mornings with different themes.
