Ruth Keogh is Professor of Biostatistics and Epidemiology in the Department of Medical Statistics at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine. Ruth studied Maths and Statistics at the University of Edinburgh, before completing the MSc in Applied Statistics in Oxford, followed by a DPhil in the Statistics Department (2007). She then worked in research positions at the Universities of Oxford and Cambridge, before moving to LSHTM in 2012. Ruth’s research focuses on statistical methods for analysis of observational data, such as from patient registries and electronic health records, alongside applications in a range of areas of health research. She is also involved in teaching on MSc courses and in supervising PhD students. Ruth is currently funded by a UKRI Future Leaders Fellowship.
