International Women's Day Event - 'Choose to Challenge'

On 8 March we shall celebrate International Women's Day by telling stories. Three stories to be precise from three women. Anne-Marie Imafidon, Davina Durgana and Helena Webb are all leaders in their respective fields; but they also have personal stories to share, to inform and to inspire. We know many people are very 'online busy' so the event will take place either side of lunch. There will be a Q&A session after the keynote. We really hope you can make it.

The Speakers and their stories

Dr Helena Webb is a Senior Researcher in the Department of Computer Science at Oxford. She is an interdisciplinary researcher and specialises in work that explores the impacts that technologies have on our lives and has worked on projects relating to harmful content on social media, algorithm bias, and responsible robotics. She will talk about her passion for embedding ethics and responsibility into processes of learning and research in order to foster technological innovation for the social good.

Dr Davina P. Durgana is an award-winning international human rights statistician and has been measuring modern slavery risk and prevalence since 2007 and now manages one of the largest quantitative research programs on modern slavery in the world with an all-female research team.
