Collaborations
The group has strong links with several research groups active in protein informatics , both within and outside Oxford. Some of our current collaborators are listed below.
Professor of Statistics at Macquarie University , Sydney, Australia.
Research interests include stochastic global optimisation, traffic accident modelling and more recently, topics in bioinformatics, including protein structure prediction.
Reseach in the Armitage lab focuses on bacterial signal transduction using the purple non-sulphur bacterium Rhodobacter sphaeroides. Research is split into several main areas including chemotaxis , photo and aerotaxis and mathematical modelling.
Martin is undertaking a PhD in Computer Science at Freiburg University, Germany. His research interests are simplified protein models, protein structure prediction and the energy landscapes of biopolymers. In collaboration with Martin we are aiming to tackle the question of 'how proteins fold'?
