Principles for Statistical Methods - Michaelmas Term 2013

This part of the Statistical Methods course will largely follow the outline from last year. There will be 6 lectures

Week 3: Simulation-based inference
Week 4: Model checking
Week 6: Model selection
Week 7: Robustness
Week 8: Splines and smoothing Rscript for splines
Week 8: Missing data See also overheads from 2005

The aim of these lectures is to give you an overview of important elements of these topics, each of which could easily merit a full lecture course on its own, so this is only to give you a way of orienting yourselves.
