Further Statistical Methods - Lecture 3

Measures of association, ordinal variables and symmetric tables

This lecture is describing aspects of the analysis of categorical data other than those represented directly by graphical models. In particular it is concerned with measures of association, ordinality and special issues concerning symmetric tables.

Read Edwards (2002), Sections 5.9-5.12 and Agresti (2002), Chapters 1 and 2. For symmetric tables, see Chapter 10.
