Further Statistical Methods - Lecture 4

Measures of association

The first half of this lecture is concerned with ways of measuring departure from conditional independence, in the form of association measure similar to e.g. correlation, as known for quantitative variable. The second half is concerned with symmetric tables, for example of relevance in panel data.

Read Agresti (2002), Chapters 1 and 2. For symmetric tables, see Chapter 10.
