DPhil in Statistics student
About Me
Hi! I'm Alissa, a DPhil in Statistics student in the Oxford Protein Informatics Group. Prior to my DPhil, I completed an MBiochem in Biochemistry at the University of Oxford and an MPhil in Biological Sciences at the MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology, University of Cambridge. I am driven by the aim to better understand and engineer biology, with a particular interest in protein-protein interactions and protein design, using cutting-edge computational methodologies.
Research Interests
My DPhil research spans machine learning and protein design. I am developing machine learning models to predict and optimise sequence- and structure-based properties of antibodies, a key class of therapeutics. The ultimate aim is to design better antibody therapeutics, at reduced timescales and costs.
