COVID-19 (Coronavirus) – Departmental Information
Department of Statistics
The department is currently open for on-site working and studying for those who need to be on-site. A full risk assessment has been conducted and can be viewed on the intranet.
All staff and students are being asked to look after themselves and others. A range of guidance has been developed by the University, reminding us of our personal and collective responsibility for keeping the University and local community safe. In particular, you are asked to:
- Keep your distance
- Wash your hands
- Wear a face covering
- Got symptoms? Get a test
- Contacted by track and trace? Stay at home
Information about the guidance is now available on the coronavirus health pages, and a short video has also been produced. The materials have been developed with input from the University’s medical and behavioural experts, and in consultation with staff and students across the collegiate University.
For anyone returning to work please be aware that the rules may change as new information and guidance becomes available and that we may have to close the building again at short notice.
Case response protocol
If you have, or suspect you have, COVID-19, then please notify the SPOC – single point of contact (email@example.com) and your PI/ line manager as soon as possible. Please follow the University’s flowchart.
For PIs/ line managers there are now action cards on the intranet (see return to on-site working section) telling you what to do if you receive such a report. There is also a flow chart showing the processes that will underpin the department’s response to different coronavirus case scenarios.
