Population Genetic Inference

This page contains details of the graduate course organised by members of the Statistics Department at the University of Oxford.  Lectures are held at 2pm in lecture theatre B (NOTE CHANGE OF VENUE) in the Department of Zoology, South Parks Road.  Please register by sending an email to gilean.mcvean@medawar.ox.ac.uk.

Slides and lecture notes will become available from this site as the course progresses.  All are available as pdf files, which can be read with Adobe Acrobat Reader.  If you do not have Acrobat Reader, it can be downloaded from here.

If you do not have a University card, or Bodlian library card, you will need to add your name to a list that is left at reception.  In order to do this, please email gilean.mcvean@medawar.ox.ac.uk

The slides and notes from the course last year are available here.  There is some overlap between the courses, but last year’s had more on theoretical population genetics and less on inference.  It may be of interest to read both sets of notes.
