I recommend that you print out a 4-up copy of the lecture notes and bring them to the lecture.

A formulae booklet, summarising the major methods and formulae covered during the course, will be provided at the lectures.  A copy of the formulae booklet will be provided at the examination and can be downloaded from the following links [ps][pdf]

A booklet, containing a glossary of statistical terms will be given out during the lectures and can be downloaded from the following links [ps][pdf]

Calculators

It is essential that you have a hand-held pocket calculator which supports "standard deviation" and "linear regression". I recommend a Casio Statistical or Casio Scientific calculator, such as Casio FX85 series, costing about £10 - see:  http://www.casio.co.uk/Products/Calculators/Scientific%20Calculators/FX85ES 

A calculator can be used in the examination but as specified in the Examination Decrees and Regulations - in essence, this means that you cannot program the calculator before the examination.

Remember to use the full statistical functions on your calculator.
