We are a small and very friendly group of people who meet Tuesday evenings for a couple of hours of recreational volleyball. The level is sort of intermediate – we aim to have proper three touches attacks but everybody plays all positions. Even if you have never played before or if you played a little a long time ago, come around a Tuesday evening and try us out – first time is free.
The venue is the Park Sports Centre in Holton near Wheatley. Holton is about five miles from the centre of Oxford, on the A40 towards London. We play Tuesdays from 7pm to 9pm. The format is usually half an hour of warm up, after which we divide into two teams and play for the remainder of the evening. Attendance tends to range from five to fifteen people, with quite a large variation from week to week. The first time is free, but after that we will start charging you 5 pounds per night to cover equipment and venue cost.
As of May 2012 we will be playing every Tuesday in the foreseeable future.

Exit from the A40, with the road sign indicating the exit for the Park Sports Centre. If taking the bus, the bus stop is immediately after the exit.

Once you have entered the sports centre, head for the door to the sports hall in the far left corner. Go through the door and through the gate in the barrier, and you should be in the right place.

We play on the court closest to the reception (this photo is from back when we played at the other end of the sports hall, but the many years of volleyball eventually wore out the anchors for securing the posts that end).
