Introduction

Our club provides training in Krav-Tardemet, a modern martial art specifically created for self-defence. Beyond the fun and the physical activity, Tardemet is designed for effectiveness in real-life situations.

Whatever your physical constitution, whether you are a woman or a man, just give it a try and visit us! No prior experience in martial arts is required. Classes are taught by an official instructor of Krav-Tardemet, in a friendly and casual atmosphere.

We train at Lady Margaret Hall (see the above timetable and announcements for details). If you would like to try it out, just come along and bring some loose clothes. Your first two sessions are completely free. We are quite a relaxed group of people but, should you feel uneasy turning up by yourself, why not bring a friend?

Once you have become a member, you will pay a very reasonable fee to cover the cost of insurance and equipment. The regular training attire will be black trousers and a red t-shirt. We do not wear special training suits (Do-Gi / Kimono) like many traditional martial arts. After all you won't be wearing one when someone tries to mug you! ☺

Please take a few minutes to read through our web site. If you still have questions after this, feel free to contact us (see "Contact Us" box on the left).

If you would like to receive our emails, simply drop us a message:

We look forward to seeing you at training!

Best,
The Committee
