About me

I am a postdoctoral researcher in the Protein Informatics group run by Professor Charlotte Deane in the Department of Statistics. I am also part of the Oxford Centre for Integrative Systems Biology, and an Associate Director of the Doctoral Training Centre

Recent research includes the pathways and interactions involved in bacterial chemotaxis, and development of a new method for the prediction of specificity-determining sites in protein:protein interactions. I am currently working with Professor Chris Schofield in the Department of Chemistry using bioinformatics methods to analyse a family of enzymes called 2-oxoglutarate oxygenases.

Background

I did my undergraduate degree in Natural Sciences at Cambridge, specialising in Pathology, followed by an MSc in Bioinformatics at Exeter. I then worked for two years as a bioinformatics analyst for the Oxford Protein Production Facility before doing a DPhil in structural immunology at Oxford, which I completed in December 2007.
