Biographical Sketch
Ingileif received a BSc in Mathematics from the University of Iceland in 1998 and an MSc in Mathematical Statistics from Göteborg University in 1999. After working for one year as a research associate in the Statistics Department at DeCode Genetics in Reykjavik, Ingileif enrolled in the doctoral program in the Department of Statistics at UC Berkeley. At Berkeley she worked with Terry Speed on statistical methods for gene mapping in complex diseases and received her doctorate in 2005. Currently Ingileif is a postdoctoral researcher working with Chris Holmes, Peter Donnelly and Bernard Silverman.
