Biographical sketch
My background is mathematics and statistics and I studied this as an undergraduate here at Worcester College. I stayed on to complete my DPhil in statistics supervised by Prof Jotun Hein and Prof Chris Holmes. I am also a Junior Research Fellow and lecturer at Worcester College where I teach probability and statistics to undergraduates. When I’m not working I can usually be found dancing tango or at my allotment..
Research interests
Gene – Environment interactions, Gene – Gene interactions, Heterogeneity, Bayesian mixture models, Genome Wide Association Studies, Pathway Identification.
About my research
My DPhil and current research is focussed on developing statistical methods for modelling biological sources of heterogeneity in genetic epidemiology. I collaborate with Prof Ian Tomlinson and Dr Jean-Baptiste Cazier at the Wellcome Trust Centre for Human Genetics.
