Biographical sketch
I joined the Experimental Statistics Laboratory of Dr Rory Bowden in November 2010. Prior to joining the lab, I completed a PhD with Dr Paul Edwards in the Department of Pathology, University of Cambridge, researching fusion genes and chromosome rearrangements in breast cancer. Previously I completed an MSc in Bioinformatics and Systems Biology at Imperial College and a BA in Genetics at the University of Cambridge, and worked as a research assistant in a microarray production facility.
Research interests
Microbial genomics, high-throughput sequencing, structural variation, microbial transmission.
About my research
I work as a bioinformatician providing analysis and software support for high-throughput sequencing data. My current research project involves transmission of S. aureus within hospitals.
