Research Interests
Pattern recognition, machine learning, multiple classifier systems, dynamic models.
Broadly my current research interests lie in the theoretical development of applied statistical techniques, particularly in the areas of dynamic classification and model averaging. In these areas, many developments have been made in fields such as Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Computational Learning Theory and Neural Networks. I am interested in the development of a solid, unified statistical foundation and framework for this research, to allow for better understanding of current methods and to identify areas in which further research could be most beneficial.
Biographical Sketch:
Completed undergraduate studies and Honours degree at the University of Adelaide in 2003. Worked for 9 months at the Australian Bureau of Statistics before moving to Oxford in 2004 to study for a DPhil degree under the supervision of Professor Brian Ripley. Since July 2008 I have been working as a Departmental Lecturer.
