|Christiana Kartsonaki is a Senior Statistician at the Clinical Trial Service Unit and Epidemiological Studies Unit (CTSU) in the Nuffield Department of Population Health, University of Oxford, working on the China Kadoorie Biobank.
She has a degree in Mathematics, an MSc in Applied Statistics and a DPhil in Statistics. She has previously worked in the Department of Oncology of the University of Oxford and at the Centre for Cancer Genetic Epidemiology in the Department of Public Health and Primary Care of the University of Cambridge.
Dr Shidong Wang is the Director of Oxford Prospects and Global Development Centre of Regent’s Park College, University of Oxford. It is an interdisciplinary Centre to facilitate and host collaboration projects between researchers, practitioners and policy-makers.
He did his PhD research at Bonn University in Germany and spent time as research fellow at UC Berkeley, before taking up a Postdoc research position at Department of Statistics of Oxford. Besides research, he is also running an annual UK-China University President’s Round-table dialogue event every year to have Vice chancellors, Presidents of leading UK and China universities to discuss challenges and opportunities facing together.
He is a visiting professor at Fudan University and University of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences.
|Sarah Penington, Mathematical Institute, University of Oxford
Sarah Penington is a Junior Research Fellow in Mathematics at New College, Oxford. In 2013-16, she was a DPhil student at the Department of Statistics, Oxford, under the supervision of Alison Etheridge. In September this year, she will be moving to the University of Bath to take up a Prize Fellowship.
