Removing email attachments in Outlook
We all use email attachments to share information but these files can make it difficult to manage the size of our inboxes.
Using Outlook it is possible to save these files elsewhere (if necessary) and then remove them.
Firstly, open the email with the attachment.
Right-click on the attachment and choose 'Save As...'.
Browse to an appropriate location and save the file (or files).
Now that the file has been saved, right-click on the attachment again and select 'Remove'.
When we close the email we'll be asked if we want to save changes. Choosing 'Yes' will save the email with the attachment removed.
In this example the original message size of 14MB is reduced to just 5KB.
